RoSPA
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a registered charity which provides information, advice, resources and training, to promote safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life - at work, in the home, on the roads, in schools, at leisure, and on (or near) water. The water safety page contains a range of information, statistics and educational resources.
RUA Dummy 2?
RUA Dummy 2? is a free resource produced by RoSPA and the Environment Agency. The core target audience is 12 to 16 year olds, who are particularly at risk from injury or drowning. The materials on the website are designed to create discussion about risk taking behaviour, and as such will be useful for older teenagers. There is a sister publication available for 7 to 11 year olds.
The National Water Safety Forum
The National Water Safety Forum website contains information, advice, facts and figures relating to all aspects of water safety.

This interactive map, produced by the Environment Agency, looks at a variety of apsects of inland water safety.
RNLI
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. They aim to save lives by encouraging safer behaviour around and in the water, and their website contains details about their free educational programme, including online lesson plans and whiteboard activities, and education visits to your school.
No Swimming - Dead Simple - Reservoir Safety
Severn Trent Water have produced a video focused on reservoir risks targeted at teenagers. This can be downloaded from the linked page above.
Dying to be Cool - Reservoir Safety
Yorkshire water have a video and lesson plan – Dying to be Cool – focused on reservoir risks targeted at teenagers. 'Dying to be Cool' aims to highlight the dangers of swimming in cold, open water during hot weather. The film can be viewed and DVDs requested using the above link.

Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT)
The Child Accident Prevention Trust is the UK’s leading charity working to reduce the number of children and young people killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents. They have a wide variety of information and resources available through their website, including information about burns and scalds.
StayWise
StayWise collates existing educational resources from emergency services and other agencies from around the country and makes them available through their website. Teachers can browse their libraries and schemes of work and use the activities and resources. Emergency service personnel can also see what teachers are doing and within their section discover how they can play their part in these lessons too.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK is a registered charity with a vision ‘To safeguard lives in, on and near water’. They are the governing body and leading provider of training and education in lifesaving, lifeguarding, water safety and life support skills in the UK.
