Welcome to CSEC

Working to reduce unintended injuries to children and young people through practical safety education.

The World Health Organisation reports that unintended injuries are the leading cause of death and serious injury in 0 to 19 year olds.*

The government is committed to reducing the number of these unintended injuries reported at Accident and Emergency departments.

CSEC has been established to contribute to achieving this outcome in England, and is working to reduce the number and severity of unintended injuries in the following areas.

The CSEC website contains information about the five most common types of unintended injury, how you can help reduce these, and about becoming part of CSEC.
